The Meaning Of Life
Many people think we are special so there must be a reason for us to be
here. Like all other things in this universe (living or not), we are just
here. There is no special meaning. Lets define special. If there are no
more humans left on this planet, what will happen? No other living thing
needs us around. The universe sure don't give a damn. All the planets
will still fly around in circles until they blow up. Things will be just
the way they were before humans came along. Is it that hard to figure
out? We just happen to be smart enough to think so we naturally think
that it must mean there is a reason we are here. We are not the only species
on this planet that can think. We just happen to be the smartest of all
the thinkers. We are just another animal in the animal kingdom. We just
happen to be the smartest of them all. Dinosaurs are the largest of them
all. The dinosaurs were probably thinking the same thing. There must be
a reason they were here because they were so damn huge  .
Where are they now? Humans are mentally superior and dinosaurs are physically
superior. I think if monkeys were any smarter, they too will think there
is a reason they are here .
Of all the people that have walked this earth before us, they too thought
their life had a meaning. Where are they now? Dead! Nowhere special. Just
DEAD, DEAD, DEAD .
Make the best with what nature gave you and if you can, try not to harm
other living beings.
Are we really that special? Lets compare a human to a monkey. We go to
bed when we are tired and wake up after we get enough sleep. Monkeys do
the same. We drive a car to work to make money so we can feed ourselves.
Instead of driving, monkeys jump from one tree to another in search of
food. Monkeys grow old and die and so do we. Monkeys are smarter than
other animals and we are smarter than monkeys. We evolve and so do other
animals. We are no different than other animals. We are born, we hunt
for food our entire life time and then we die. Being smarter just allow
us to outsmart other animals so we can hunt them down for food. The predator
is always faster or smarter than the prey. On this planet, we are the
ultimate predator. Every animal has its flaws and so do we.
As a species, we are only in an infant stage. From what I know, we are
arrogant enough to think we are intelligent. We claim to be the most intelligent
species but yet we are the only species that is capable of self destruction.
We over eat, over drink, do drugs, create weapons of mass destruction,
and kill or fight each other over a football game
to name just a few. ( LA
man, 31, arrested in SF Giants fan beating ) We don't need no asteroid
to blow us up, we can blow our own selves up
thank you. Even a cockroach is smarter than us in that a cockroach can
out survive us. They will still be around long after we're gone. As a
species, we are extremely flawed. We are so flawed that we think we are
smart .
